Yanchep National Park

Our little spot by the lake

Here in Australia, they use the word 'gorgeous' very freely. Isn't my baby gorgeous? :)

On our walk

Micah is actually asleep!

This is the typical look Micah gives Andrew when he is pushing the stroller. It's like, 'You're pushing me???'

Heading into the cave!

There were a lot of these icicle things on the ceiling.

Yanchep National Park

The same weekend we went to Fremantle prison, we took a car ride up to Yanchep National Park. We took a tour of an underground cave. I was slightly nervous about claustrophobia but thankfully the cave was 'spacious'. ;) Micah wasn't really a fan of the cave - he wanted to run around but Andrew and I weren't really keen to let him go off = the guide mentioned that the only animals that lived in the cave were rats, mice, roaches, and snakes. No, thank you! Knowing Micah he would have tried to pick something like that up if he came across it. Andrew and I decided that we liked John Forrest national park way better than Yanchep. Yanchep seemed more like a picnic destination. We were able to go on a small, easy walk around the lake. There was no changes in elevation so it was kind of uneventful but beautiful just the same. Mr. Micah fell asleep in his stroller during our walk - the kid never falls asleep in the stroller anymore so we were quite pleased. :) We decided to hang out by the lake while Micah slept - I told Andrew it felt like a little bit of heaven to sit on a blanket in the warm sun, in beautiful 70 degree weather with him next to me and Micah sleeping. It was a wonderful day.
